I encoded a film in xvid and now when I try to play it, it plays fine for about 30 seconds then it crashes...the same happens with different players...I deleted the original DVD before testing it because I have encoded loads of films before with no problem! What can i do to get it to play? Also there are some green ''artifacts'' or interfence when I skip through the film but they go after a few seconds when it starts playing...??

Now that you've explained yourself (NO, it wasn't obvious...), why don't you simply re-rip the REAL ORIGINAL PHYSICAL DVD and start over?Comment

Because that would take alot of computer time and I have other DVDs that need to be backed up. If I could solve this problem without re-ripping it it would save me alot of time...but it looks like ill have to if nowone can help me out

has this happened before? surely you are not THAT busy to not have time to encode a dvd overnight.
