when i try to open most avi files, i get a error message of "Warning: nothing to output b frame decoder lag" like what the hell is that?

    any resolutions?

if i export video when i get that message it has that error messege encoded into the avi file when playback

    any help would be great

What happens when you play the original file(s) with a software-based player?

Sounds like a problem with the original source...

Are you able to PLAY the .AVIs?

      1) Load the original video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

      2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

      3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

"Sounds like a problem with the original source"

        Its not...

i've had that same problem for a few months now, whenever i open files in virtualdubmod, but it hasnt bothered me

and it has definately not shown up in any of my encodes.

it must be something i installed, and this something must be a good program, because i keep installing it after every format

            To morphix

Try loading the file into the STANDARD VirtualDub (Different than "VirtualDubMOD):

            A) Does it also generate an error message? If so, what is the EXACT wording?

            B) As I suggested before:

            1) Load the original video file into VirtualDub

            2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

            3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box
