    WMV muxer/demuxer

    hey...
    i looked everywhere but can't seem to find one..

    i'm not looking for a wmv converter..but i need a wmv demuxer that can extract the video/audio to seperate files and if it could have a muxer...that would be great.

    is there such a thing ????

    thanks !!

    You could try using "Mplayer", but it might only be for the Linux platform.

          The latest version of VDM has removed ASF (essentially the same thing as WMV) support in the code.

              ASF: illegal object fragment flags Oc in packet at bfa

                  "i need a wmv demuxer that can extract the video/audio to seperate files"

                  The Windows Media 9 Encoder should (as does the WM8E version) allow for demuxing/saving only a .WMA audiofile, as well as .WMV video-only file...

                      Vulcan,

                      If you wish to succeed it will be necessary that you listenings somebody.
                      SETARIP, proposes you the adequate option that of WMV9.

                      If you has XP, downloads Windows Media Coder 9:
                      If you want demultiplex or to multiplex goes in the file "utilities":

                      - you will choose "editor of flow Windows media";
                      - "To add file" (Audio and Video), where you will notch the audio (with or not) the video then will click on "adding ";
                      - then "to create a file";
                      - and finally to click on "starting" for demultiplexing.

                      Here

                      NOTE: If you do not arrive, I would stain to be a guide.

                      Goodbye

                        "it only re-encodes only the video or the audio..."

                        By first extracting the video as a separate file and then extracting the audio as a separate file, how are you not accomplishing the same thing as demuxing?

                            is it still possible with the encoder ?

                              Why would you need to mux (unless you are converting to a different video format) when you can just use the "Original" WMV?
