ormonde, as for your question,
i have an wmv/wma file that i wanted to re-encode its audio stream.
i couldn't find a program like virtualdub that can direct stream the video and only do some DSP to the audio so i went with demux/mux.
besides ,it's a video editing process that i want to know how to accomplish.
that's why i went to this forum - they know all the tricks..
setarip, thanks for your help,
but i was having trouble with the search as the muxing feature is generally for MPEG file types..
that's at least what i was able to find.
if you could direct me to one that can also mux windows media files , that would completely achive the goal..thanks !!
"but i was having trouble with the search as the muxing feature is generally for MPEG file types...that's at least what i was able to find."
The primary link I've provided to you is SPECIFICALLY for muxing WMA and WMV.
There are at least 10 pages of listings associated with that primary link. Perhaps you just have to exert yourself a bit more in going through the individual links...
setarip,
you did ran a search for muxing wmv and wma,
but i wish it were that simple.
almost every mpeg tool supports MULTIPLEX of mpeg files, and can convert WMV / WMA to mpeg.
that is why the search "multiplex" and "WMV" and "WMA" shows so many results.
i did go through 2 pages, and will continue today.
