DivX Player Plays Sound But Screen Is White

I downloaded several .avi files from http://www.archive.org/movies/list_0-B.html and i followed their instructions:

    1) open up .avi file (DiVX 4.11) in DivX Player
    2) DivX Doctor it to turn it into a .mov file and name it anything
    3) Now, open up .mov file in quicktime (4.1.2) while keeping open DivX Player

So, what i get every time is a white screen with the sound.

I have an iBook G3 600 with 640MB of Ram and running OS 9.2.2 (also have OS X 10.1.2).

Can i get this to work for the Mac or am i underprivileged.

    Please help,

    Ken

The methodology may be outdated - I know it's been around since well before DivX versions 4xx were created (when only v.3.11alpha existed).

You might be more successful trying to convert the video to .3ivx format. Go to www.3ivx.com for additional information and, if you can tolerate the arrogance, a high-knowledge forum...
