    Audio codec problem

    >if you are just intrested in playback, install this 100% free player, select >your OS and download.

Downloaded and try it. Just like the MS Media Player, it has no problem in playing the video. But there aren't any sound at all

So there is really no way to determine what's the correct audio codec to use at all?!? It's just so frustrating!

I've extracted it using WinRAR utility. From what I see it seems to be ok.

Thanks for your time and help. I appreciate it.

This is indicative of an .AC3 audiostream.

Download and install an .AC3 codec or filter.

You can get one by clicking on this link:

Hey guys, I'm having the audio problem this guy was having, but mine says "Compression: Unknown (tag 0055)"

I've downloaded the codec for tag 55 like three times but I still don't get audio on my movie. Any suggestions?

              Issues Viewing AVI files

I have been using virtualdub for many years now, and like it. I can rapid view files from my security cameras. Then when I see something supicious I can go in frame by frame, and export a clip of it. but for some reason it stopped working.

I reformatted which I have done many times in the past with the same results. I installed many codecs, nothing works I still get the error the file types are unsupported or unknown. I would appreciate ANY help you all can give me. Especially now, I have noticed odd behavior indicative of a soon to be attempted robbery.

Thank you for your time and help
