I have some 720X480 footage on a Sony digital-8 camera with a (standard?) DV output. I've been able to capture it through Premiere, but I don't want interlaced video since I'm going to try adding some frame-by-frame animation effects.
Windows Media Encoder's help file tells me that it can do what I want. In practice, however, it doesn't. Following the help, I select the deinterlace filter, set my output size to 720x240 (I'll gladly fix the aspect ratio later) but WME will not let me double the frame rate (29.97 x2 =? 60 or 59.94), the input box is grayed-out.
Is there another way to get the result I want? Or am I just missing something in WME?
