Jerky sound after 30min of playing?

I have hooked my machine up to my tv and i'm playing my movies on the and it works like a charm. The only thing that is strange is the audio after about 30 minutes of playing time. It all of a sudden starts to get jerky. If i shut down wmp and restart the movie and fast forward the sound is perfect again.

Im thinking this might be some buffer that gets full after a while or something couse i cant see that it's my PC performance thats cousing this problem.

    Any ideas?

    The Tincan:

    1 x 40Gb Segate 7.200RPM HD
    1 x 100Gb Segate 5.400RPM HD

nice computer did ya try to uninstall and install soundcard? did ou update your BIOS? XP usually doesnt have problems like that.....or, just change your audio settings not to buffer da whole thing up.....also, get microsoft windows xp tweaking utility http://www.tweakxp.com/tweakxp/tweak_software.asp

    Hope it helps

..the components are nice but Packard Bell is not what i would recomend..

I had to update my bios since this machine comes with USB Mouse and Keyboard, after XP installation it could not find neither mouse or keyboard... that was fun

I'll try to play around some more with the sound settings and the tweak util to se what happens..

      Cheers

Sounds like an onboard Sound Card to me

You got the right idea with Media Player 6.4 so that should be ok.

Have you tried it with another player (just to be sure) like BSPlayer www.bsplayer.org ??

          he he he...

          Now i've found another problem

When i play a movie with AC3 audio stream i plays fine for about
5-10 min. After that the sound just dies. gone nada..

Anyways i'll try the bsplayer to see if that helps.
          Thanks for your help!
