Hi everyone,
Here's my hardware/system specification:
Athlon 1.33 GHz Thunderbird (not overclocked)
256MB DDR ram
Winfast GForce 2 MX 400 64 MB
40 GB Barracuda IV HDD (7200 RPM)
I got DivX 5.0 installed with the newest version of DIVX Player 2.0 Alpha. That player handles all the divX movies very well - no problems at all. But it doesn't support subtitles which I need. I know there's whole bunch of players supporting subtitles, and I use couple of them, like VPlayer or Koala Film Player.
The problem is, that if I play a certain divX movie (U-571.avi) in fullscreen mode in any other player except DIVX Player 2.0 Alpha, the sound is OK but video quality is VERY poor - I see big "blocks" (pixels) as if the movie had only 256 or even 16 colors.
The weird thing is that other movies play perfectly in those players (Vplayer, etc.) and the U-571.avi plays perfectly in DIVX Player 2.0 Alpha.
I know I could use Player 2.0 Alpha instead, but it doesn't support subtitles. Can anyone tell me what is going on here?
Thanks in advance!
here's the Video format of U-571.avi:
720 x 320, bits: 24, frames: 167214, frames/sec: 23.976, 92 KB/sek, DIVXMPG4 V3
regards,
Matt
