I downloaded sahara xvid then for some reason when i went to play it, it plays this 3rd party intro followed by a countdown from 9 to 0 then the screen went to black & white snow like when you have no arial plugged into your tv. I thought it was just a copy that didnt work properly so i deleted. Now I downloaded Charlie and the chocolate factory xvid.showtime and it does exactly the same thing... my other xvids work fine but is there something i need to do for these to work?

sounds as if you may be downloading screener versions/bogus files/bugs.
