Capture from TV Wonder - format???

I have the following:

Athlon XP1700+
512MB RAM
120GB Raid HD
GeForce4 MX440
ATI TV Wonder

I want to capture from my analog camcorder using the TV Wonder. However - I want good quality and I want to be able to import into Premiere 6 for editing and then send back to a DV Camcorder (I know - sounds odd).

Should I capture in AVI then import into Premiere? Should I compress into Divx? (I don't want MPEG as this is not suitable for above).

Any ideas would be appreciated!

You should use VirtualDub to capture and then use deinterlace and temporal smoother filters.
Finally you can use Adobe Premiere 6.
Good results for me... I also use an analog sony handycam hi8
