    Playing AC3 DVM Audio

    Hi,

What codecs do I require to play an avi file in AC3 DVM audio and using what software.

Also can I convert this back to a MP3 audio, mostly common in the xvid, if yes, how ????

if you have the ac3 acm decompressor and , say, the lame mp3 codec on your system you can do it all with virtualdubmod.

i recommend not encoding the audio at all, ac3 audio is far superior to mp3. this is ofcourse if you are not running low on hard disk space, or if you don't want to back up to cd...

to play it, just download & install the latest (alpha) version of "ffdshow", or do as LT said
