file burnt with DVSD (or dsvd) PROBLEMS!!

Hi guys, I have a rather strange problem.
I burnt a dvd (data) with a videofile on it (dv), so it's not again rendered to a videoDVD. I just did it to gain some extra HDspace. Now i want to import it into MYDVD (or any other program) and it says "unknown file format DSVD". I can only play it with VLC player. Searched for explanation on the www, but none found. Please help as i need to complete this disc pretty soon.
    Thanks in advance,

not familiar with mydvd but i think this error comes when ur software is not equiped with dv codec. usually this happens when u try to open dv file in virtualdub without installing a codec. cant say if that could help, but u can try it im attacting it here, right click ini file and click install.

otherwise u could use TMPGEnc , or other video editors like video studio, pinnacle studio , both can be trialed... or u can search the forum for DV to MPEG..

      Atifsh,

Thanks for helping. I re-copied the original file from disc to HD again and the problem was gone! Go figure that one It had to be something stupid like this as the unknown codec was the codec used by the program itself...
      Thx
