Frame rate shown in WMP 10

I am using WMP 10 when ever i play an mpeg or avi file the frame rate is shown during playback. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o></PRE>

<o></o>It appears in the top left hand corner of the screen along with the CPU load, <o></o></PRE>

Input Size and the Output Size.<o></o></PRE>

Does anyone now how I can play these clips without the above being shown.<o></o></PRE>

BTW when i used to play the clips the frame rate etc never ever came up.<o></o></PRE>

never seen that, but i abandoned WMP 10 a long time ago, i highly reccomend media player classic, it's free and can play your dvd's, loads videos faster and isn't as prone to "lag" during playback as WMP10.

its likely you're using 'ffdshow' to decode your movies. if so, go through start-->program files-->ffdshow-->video decoder configuration.

make sure 'OSD' is unchecked in the left hand column, it should get rid of the stats

if not, do this: play, in wmp, any file that shows this behaviour, then under 'file', click 'properties'. look around in the window that pops up, and tell us which codec is playing your file.

'media player classic' is the best player out there, so use it
