converting MP3 to WMA program please ? tried cheetah audio converter..dont work

i tried to convert MP3 to WMA (audio files) using cheetah audio convert and other converters but the result/output, when i play it, it just runs, the music plays very very fast speed...its funny...

is there a way to convert MP3 to WMA without loosing the quality of the music or the speed of playback...

I remember WMP had some sort of plugin (I've probably got it somewhere) that did this. Also, I think Nero's Media Player had a plugin that did the same thing.

right...but nero plugins take only 99 files at a time i think and i have 300 MP3 files to be converted to WMA and put in 2-3 CDs as an Audio CD..you see

oh yes probably...but the output are so large files that even lets say 5-7 MP3 files converted to audio Cd by nero takes 1 whole CD...so what i actually could do with is some program that will somehow shrink the WMA/audio files and fit it to 1 or 2 Cds...(i may be asking for too much..LOL..)

Shouldn't be. At the same bitrate, WMAs should be about the same size as MP3....about 1Mb per minute at 128kbps.

Anyway, give that prog in my first post a go - can't cost you anything.

tried this program...keeps saying " gen profile failed. try using lower or higher bitrate " ....i tried all the bitrates but keeps giving same errors...the actual bitrate of the MP3 file i am trying to convert is 40(kbps) but the program dont have 40. it has 32,48,56,64 and on..i tried all bitrates none work...

i believe 'windows media bonus pack', which you can get from http://www.microsoft.com can convert to wma.

dunno why you would want to encode to 40kbps, its extremely low, the quality will absolutely suck

windows media encoder can do the same, i believe

i think i managed to convert the MP3 to WMA...not with cheetah audio convert and not with power MP3 converter but with BOTH...i converted MP3 to MP3 with cheetah audio converter and then the converted Mp3 to WMA using power audio converter but the file size is HUGE..VERY BIG..

yeah right...windows media player bonus did its job....converted MP3 to WMA and yet the file size if smaller than the MP3...brilliant...
