    movie maker software

I looking for some movie editing software.Something I can download my jvc mini cam into, edit clips, add music, etc and burn a dvd mpg-2 so I can play it in my dvd player on tv...Something user friendly. The software that came with the camara is a joke.Hard to use and you can only burn a mpg-1 type file.I have looked at something call "PINNICLE STUDIO" software. Is this any good, easy to figure out or what is better???Any comments on what you are useing would be helpful.Likes and dislikes....

Pinnacle Studio 9 is good & easy. But it is quite heavy on the system.I found Cyberlink Power Director 4 to be an excellent alternative. It has nearly all the features of Pinnacle but causes much less strain on the PC.Video editing pros prefer Adobe Premiere. But I found it a bit complicated. But one thing.I would advise u to make the final output as MPEG or AVI files & not as VCD,DVD or DivX.Take these files and author them in TMPGEnc(for MPEG),or Virtualdub for DivX.

Nerovision Express 3.1.0.21 latest version best...

I prefer Ulead Video Studio 8/9 to pinnacle... Lot's more content for Less money and better overall...

For the Free option try WMM2 (Windows Movie Maker 2) it's not tpo be sneared at... Not a faster option but I used that too a loooooong time ago, in a galaxy far, far away
