    divx video distortion

sorry if this question has been asked before, i searched arorund but couldn't find anything exactly like the problem i am having.

here's a screencap since a picture is worth a thousand words...

    22:29 - 192kbps - 640x480 - 167mb - avi

    XP Pro - 2.2 gHz - 512 mb ram - divx 6.0

don't know what other info to give??? i'm fairly new at digital video.

this seems to only happen with divx encoded movies. and it dosen't seem to matter what player i use. does this mean these are just errors in the file? please tell me there is an easy solution.

its possible, could be that parts of the file are corrupt/incomplete. have you had the chance to try any of these video files on another PC?

still, i recommend you download & install the latest 'ffdshow' from http://www.free-codecs.com and see if it improves.
