    Converting Real Player files

How do I convert RM or RAM files to another editable format like AVI, WMV, etc? Bink and Smacker will not do it - and RM Converter leaves a watermark. I use programs like ULead Video Studio to edit video, that prog saves as RM but can NOT read it.

      LOL
RM Converter is made by Boilsoft - the trial leaves a watermark.

I used to use a program called TINRA but that causes errors in half my RM files.
As for other progs mentioned in other conversion posts, those are trials as well!

my rule of thumb is: stay away from everything other than mpeg-4 and mpeg-2

in the past though, i had used tinra (only a couple of times) to do the job. it was crappy, but it worked...

However, TINRA does not work on all RM files - it depends on many things. Is there a good freeware conversion program? All I need it to convert to is anything other than RM - so MPG, AVI, WMV or something. From there I can use ULead or Bink and Smacker to convert to a good format.

I use Fraps, too, that works w/ real video. Also, the qget.sh*tforbrains.org/quicktime2xvid.html link doesn't work even though I DID replace the * w/ "i".

                        Recording streams and converting

I am trying to convert from ram files to mp3. I am using SUPER.

I downloaded a link to a file I want to convert. When I click on the link it downloads much faster than it plays, so I have no trouble playing the file with RealPlayer.

In SUPER I checked the "Stream Copy" box, dropped the link successfully into SUPER and checked the active box. But whether I click "Play" or "Encode", SUPER responds: "Invalid!".

How do I get SUPER to convert these files?
