    Backed up DVD don't play!!!

i use dvdshrink to back-up and burn some disc severals days ago!but those discs aren't playing in my comp/dvd player.i've been reading severals information or answer on the forum, but i couldn't find any solution, since i don't really know what's the problem.i've been try to play the burned dvd with Powerdvd, realplayer,Window media player,powercinema...but in vain.though all the players recognised the disc inserted in the driver.
PS:the disc mark used is VERBATIM,i successfully burned them with nero at 2x. please is there anyone who can help

    Thanks...

Just a tip from past experience,Always close all programs in use before opening up your nero and burning a DVD.If you have other things running then most likely you will not get a good burn. There is to much interference while trying to burn the disk. And I recommend using Verbatim Disks when all possible,I have never had a bad one using that media.Something I do to that may help I have a DVD+RW rewrite able DVD that can be erased and used over and over,I always try my burn on that disk before putting it on a Good disk that can not be erased to make sure it took and that way you don;t waste the DVds on alot of bad unreadable copies.(I use DVD+R as a sample because that is what I canuse in my system,I can't do the -R's only the +)BUt they have the RW disks for -as well.

Thanks a lot for The advise Becky!

i've taken note,n i 'ld make sure next time i close any other runing programm before burning...i think i would also look for a DVD-R RW to use as test before burning my discs

Hi Columbo,i've updated my nero,n visited the link( http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1434 )
u proposed.i also downloaded a new back-up programm(DVDFab Platinum),and closed all other programm before doing a test-burning.the Burning was successfull, but still then,i can't read the copied dvd in my Computer.I've tried it with the following Programms, powerdvd, powercinema, window media player n realplayer...
Although they all recognise the disc inserted in the driver(they all display the title of the disc inserted),but that's all.The driver keeps working but the player won't respond anymore.
I would like to know if there's a detail,i have forgotten...
                  Thanks...

can you try another disc? the rw would be a good choice for now.
