Removing sound from a wmv file ???????

Is there any shareware or free software I could use to remove the sound form a wmv file ? I do not have the source files. Thanks for your help. Andrew

download & install the latest version of 'windows media encoder' from http://www.microsoft.com . in the start menu, in windows media-->utilities, click 'windows media stream editor'. it can do the job

virtualdub (free, I use Vdub mpeg2) will do this

since when could virtualdub work with wmv? you mean version 1.3c?

I converted a wmv 4/3 to xvid today. I have done several in the past. You are correct that it takes 1.3c to support an asf file.
