Well, process failed on trying to convert dvix avi files.
Perhaps someone can determine if the following file isn't eligible for conversion to ipod (though i would think converting it would make it compliant)
AVI 21:18
178 mb
624x352
23 fps
135 kbps
mpeg layer 3Comment

GAH!! You said that when its done converting, the iTunes program will open up. Well I have this problem with my iTunes: It never opens unless I right click then go to 'Run As' and fill in the owner info. Does this mean that I can't use the program? How would I get my newly converted video onto my iPod now?Comment

For nightshade.. just open the file that the video is stored on your computer in and drag it into itunes,
I also have a question. I have trouble with syncing sometimes too but because i rip from a dvd and then converter sometimes there is an alternate audio track. Like for example constantine when i ripped it everything was fine but after i encoded it the whole movie was in french because it was an alternate option on the dvd. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

if you want to stay away from local side conversions, check out http://www.video4ipod.org
I tried it out and most of the files I uploaded were ready within ten minutes.
Kind of a neat online tool to keep you from pulling your hair out.Comment
