Cleaner 5.1.1 and win XP - no go?

I have a fresh install of winXP pro and I just installed Discreet Cleaner 5 followed by the update available on their website.

When I try to launch the program I get a "unhandled exception error" and the program fails to load.

The program is "scanning QT video filters" it sais on the splash screen when the alertbox appears.

Anyone tried this program on XP before. I've never been able to make it work.
