AVI Video too fast.

I recently discovered that some (older) Divx 3 avi-files are playing too fast. (sometimes seem to stop to regain sync with sound) Sound works OK.
GSpot says divx3 codec is needed, and installed, but i can's seem to get it right.
(One of the files is even up-side-down video ????)
PLease advise.

if this is for playback only uninstall that codec and others that you don't need. install this:

Do you have any "Codec Packs" installed?

uninstall all codec packs, and as the LT said, downlaod & install 'ffdshow' from http://ffdshow.sourceforge.net/tikiw...etting+ffdshow

LT, the old site won't be updated anymore, the new link is to the "official" builds, milan cutka has started releasing them at a steady pace again
