I do a weekly live 4 camera shoot using Sony PD150 cameras and a DataVideo SE800 firewire mixer. The video signals travel from the camera(s) to the mixer through 2 or 3 daisy chained 20 meter cables connected by DV repeaters to keep the signal pure. It then goes through the mixer and into an Analog way Smartfade, a 4 channel Extron DA, and then out to my IMAG projectors and screens. The audio in the house is live and not run through the cameras. I send a signal to tape from the mixer and am able to adlust mixer frame delay to sync voices with video on tape but I haven't found a solution to sync the live house audio with the slightly delayed but live video going out to IMAG projectors. Anybody ever solved this???

Video/Analog Audio Sync
Just yesterday I was installing our new dv setup at the church and I wasn't able to solve the sync problem between audio and the incoming video signal.
My setup will be:
1) Sony PD170 sends via video DV cable to Datavideo SE800DV
2) audio signal goes from analog mixing desk
3) SE800's digital output goes to a Datavideo VP322 firewire hub
4) VP322 sends dv signal on one port to Sony DSR-11 and on the other port to an iMac G5 (both for recording live).
I then first tried just shooting from the camera, with its mic plugged on. Noticed that audio was about 1/2 second earlier than the image coming out from SE800's output.
And for this situation the sync function on the SE800 can't delay audio for more than 3 frames.
Well, I then tried recording onto camera's tape and play it back. Surprisingly for me, when I played it back, it was all in sync, audio and video (on the SE800's output, without changing anything on it). Can't figure out why!
Can you help me on that, since you already solved this sync issue?
I would appreciate!!
