    i've got a prob, got this movie right and in the background its english but the main is russian. Is there a way to remove the russian part so i just hear the english? Not sure if its 1 or 2 audio streams but will find out if needed.
    any help appreciated

    If it contains one mixed audio track, I'm afraid you're out of luck...

    If it's in .AVI format and, in fact, contains two separate audio streams (although I doubt it, since you're hearing both):

    1) Load the file into NanDub

    2) As a precaution, save the SECONDARY audiostream as a WAV file

    3) Delete the SECONDARY audiostream

    4) Set both "Video" and "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copying"

    5) Save the file with a new filename and close NanDub

    6) Play the new file to determine if you now have a file with a single stream of Russian or English

    7) If it's Russian (as it probably is, since you hear Russian in the foreground), open NanDub

    8) Set "Audio" to "No Audio" and load the new file

    9) Reset "Audio" to "WAV audio" and load your saved .WAV audio file

    10) Set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copying"

    11) Save your revised file with a new filename and close NanDub

    12) You'll probably want to load the (successful) revised file into either VirtualDub or NanDub and compress the audio to .MP3 format

    Let us know of your success and dosvedanya;>}

    P.S. is that "damoy" or "damavoy"?

      Hi

      2) As a precaution, save the SECONDARY audiostream as a WAV file

      3) Delete the SECONDARY audiostream

      You dont have the option to choose which audiostream u wanna save, just under FILE save wav. or is this what u want me to do
      as for the deleting part, where, how, what, when

      thx again

        I must apologize for having typed faster than I thought this through completely.

        Perhaps the simplest and quickest way to determine whether the file contains two separate audiostreams is to:

        1) Download (from http://www.divx-digest.com/software/..._switcher.html) and install the "Morgan Stream Switcher"

        2) Play your .AVI using the Windows Media Player v.6.4

        3) Rightclick in the middle of the playing video image. Hopefully, the word "Language" will not be grayed-out. If it is grayed out, this means that there is only one audio track. If it's not grayed out, you should be able to click on it and select the language you wish to hear.

        If, in fact, there prove to be two audio tracks and you're not satisfied by simply turning one off as per the above, we can attempt to provide (fairly complex) details for removing the track with the use of the GraphEdit program (or, once again, using NanDub)...

            My pleasure (plus a little embarrassment) ;>}

            As an aside, if this file was really critical to you, you probably could, with a great deal of effort, use an audio editor such as GoldWave or CoolEdit to cull out one or the other mixed soundtracks, based on their relative volume levels, etc.
