how to update firmware for external DVD-RW drive?

I have an external philips PBDV1640P dvd-rw with firmware version (b3.6 i think)...how do i update the firmware ? pls advice...thank you...i do have nero 6, dvd shrink and dvd decrypter installed...

I did a google search and firmware version B3.6 seems to be the newest one for your Phillip PBDV1640P> you can check it here:
