XVID encoded media playback crash, when played on computers with PCIE.

Anyone noticed that after a certain time (a couple of hours ujually), playback crashes on computers equipped with PCIE bus. It doesn't crash though if played back on computers with AGP.
    Systems Tested:
    PCIE:
    ASUS Motherboard with 915 chipset.
    Intel 925CX chipset.

    AGP:
    ASUS P4C800 Motherboard
    Intel 845 chipset

    Any help i appreciated.

its very unlikely the pci/agp bus is having an effect on xvid playback. sounds more like an overheating problem. any error message? a blue screen?

what are the PC's other specs? which media player? got latest ffdshow installed? latest graphics card drivers/directx?
