whats the best way to transfer avi to mpg? my s-video wont play avi but will play mpgs so i figure this is the best way to fix it but i cant find a good freeware programme to do it???

here's a simplistic guide on how to do it. you just have to use the VCD template. it's free if you use tmpgenc to convert to mpeg-1.
