    DivX 5.0

I have downloaded DivX 5.0 Pro and I'm trying to view a movie, but the sound won't work... Any suggestions?

I'm running windows xp, has tried the player that came with DivX 5 and Windows Media Player, none of them works. Only the pictures...
    Please help me...
    Thanx

You undoubtedly don't have the required audio filter (for .AC3 audio) or codec (for .MP3 audio) installed on your system.

In order to determine which codec you need for a particular .AVI, you should do the following:

      1) Load the file into VirtualDub

      2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

      3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (both video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

If you are unable to do the above then, from within Explorer, rightclick on the file and click on "Properties". Select the "Details" tab. Although it won't provide as much information, post (here) EVERYTHING you see (both video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box.
