    ac3Tool run time error

have tried extracted vobs and ac3's from seveal sources, and keep getting same error message with ac3tool10(run-time error 3). ac3tool still produces a file, but it is corrupt(?).
also, how do i get the wav2DivXaudio panel to function? it's blank.

    Try Vob2Audio instead...

you mean the "Dr. Evil" prog? tried it. aside from one of the poorest skins on a GUI that i've ever seen, the quality pretty much blew, as well. even though it does have the "DDS" feature, everything is pretty much preset, with no adjustment
what i'm trying to do is take the original 48.000kHz/ 5.1channel ac3 and convert it to a 44.100kHz/2.1channel DDS .wav file. Unfortunately, the best proggies i've found for this require Sonic Foundry's "SoftEncode", no longer available. I have the trial version, but you can only encode 10 seconds of audio. worthless.
Also needed are some Direct Show filters that i can't seem to get working.
Others i've run into get you partway, but produce a file that is "incompatable" with the rest.
At this point, I'd settle for a decent true stereo .wav that i can encode to wma.

"At this point, I'd settle for a decent true stereo .wav"

Certainly you're aware that, despite your "colorful" description of the software, Vob2Audio can readily handle the task of extracting an AC3 audiostream and converting it to a PCM (Uncompressed) 16 bit audiostream - but if you find it so distasteful you can always explore the more complex world of GraphEdit...
