Unfortunately, listing the information available under Explorer's "Properties" tab is not sufficient to determine the specific video codec used. For more meaningful information, do the following:

    1) Load the file into VirtualDub

    2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

    3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (both video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

Do you have either the DivX 5.0 or 5.01 codec installed? This is the video codec required.

The indicated "-1" video keyframes appears unusual (unless this is something new regarding the DivX 5.xx group of codecs).

I would appreciate (and you may benefit from providing) an answer to my question in my previous post - Do you have either the DivX v.5.0 or 5.01 codec installed on your system?

"Is there anyway that I can cahnge the number of key frames with Virtualdub?"

            Load the file into VirtualDub

Set "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copying"

Set "Video" to "Full Processing Mode"

Under the "Video" dropdown menu, select "Compression"

Choose your preferred codec and, as part of configuring the codec, set the frequency of keyframes

From the "File" dropdown menu, select "Save as AVI" and save with a new filename...

              I have Divx 5.01.
Thanks for the information regarding Virtualdub.
I think I will have to resave the file
