Audio crackles & pops during playback

During playback, the audio has pops and crackles whenever dialog is spoken.

Is there a way to fix this other than re-ripping the show?

I just recently installed Nimo 5.0. The audio codec used is - Moonlight Odo Dekoda.

Is there a way to switch the codec or how would one fix this problem?

yes, i've had this problem in the past as well... or something like it.
here's what i discovered... my problem was actually an overlay problem on the video card. whenever i watched a movie (ANY movie) i would get that problem, so what i would do is go into my display properties to the advanced/overlay tab and move the overlay slider (any slider) up one notch and then right back down to normal. this would fix the voices everytime! but once i rebooted it would happen again.
i guess, if anything, this is a temp fix for an annoying problem.
though your problem may be different entirely.

    hope this helps!

I don't have an overlay tab with my video properties...

      I have a S3 Graphics Savage/IX 86c298 - 8MB

I guess my real concern is, how can I tell if it's my box or the rip?

        Play it on another computer.

Also, why are you using that Moonlight Odo Dekoda audio codec? Most people choose to use the more common MP3.
