    mJPG codec + mobile phone

Hello all, how is everything? I could use your wisdom on this. I just got this new phone and I can add movie clips in it. But the ones I try are not supported. SO I took out one avi it had stored and run it through VirtualDub, checked its info and it's encoded with "IBM Motion JPEG including Huffman" codec. I am guessing I will have to use the specific codec to squeeze my videos and then add them, since squeezing them with Morgan's codec didn't do the trick. Any idea as to where to get this codec (it seems to not be available anymore or something) or any idea at all?

    Thank you for reading

      I think they are.See this:
FOURCC.org contains definitions of a large number of PC video codecs and pixel formats. Where available, download links are provided.

Well one is presumbably mJPG whilst the other is MJPG. Whether there is any real difference is a different matter. I can't see why anyone would choose to use non spec compliant MJPEG. Then again why choose a non standard fourCC?

libavcodec* can do external huffman tables for MJPEG anyway.

        * used by ffmpeg, mencoder, ffdshow, etc. for encoding/decoding.

-extern_huff "use external huffman table (for mjpeg)"
