SOS! VOB->wmv, sound is much more delay than video!

    Hi guys,

I am meeting a very big problem and wonder to get help:

I am using:FlaskMPEG 0.6+wmv8 addon to convert the whole VOB file in DVD room directly to WMV8 format. The quality of Video is perfect good after be converted, but the serious problem is: Audio is much more delay than Video!!! Video more long, the delay would be more. In my WMV files, specially at the end of film, the delay can be 1.5 seconds!

So, I wonder that would you please to tell me what's wrong? and how to fix that? I will be very appreciate to get your kind help!

    My email: asui@itvchina.com

BTW, would you please to recommend me that which would be the best way to convert VOB file to wmv format with the best video quality? bitrate, bandwidth and timing doesn't matter!

Looking forward to your rapid respond! Thank you very much!

    Alex.

    Another way...

This is how I convert DVD's to WMV:

    1. Open the VOB files in "DVD2AVI"
    2. Choose 'Save Project' (this creates the audio WAV file). Choose a name such as 'The Matrix.d2v'
    3. Close the program, and open "VFAPIConverter" (make sure you installed the VFAPI codec). Choose 'Add file', open the d2v file that you saved, and click OK. Then click Convert. This will only take a few seconds.
    4. Now close everything, and don't delete the original vob files.

You should now have a huge 1GB+ wave file. Test it just to see if it plays. You will also have a small AVI file (about 15MB or so) that will reference the VOBs in order to frameserve to any application.

So, now you can open Windows Media Encoder 9 (final), and multiplex them together.

This is just a brief idea, without much explanation, but I hope you can figure out how to find, install and use the individual programs mentioned above.
