    play dixv with subtitle

    Hi there,

    I have an avi file with a srt file.. which software can i use to play the show and the subtitle at the same time ?

    mplayer, Media Player Classic, VLC, any directshow based player (eg. Windows Media Player) via directvobsub, ffdshow, etc.

        You don't need anything then. MPC requires the output be set to VMR7/9 renderless or Haali's render for subtitles to work though.

              i only mentioned it incase droozy doesnt want to use vmr or haali with mpc

                Thanks... can u teach me how to set the output to VMR7/9 ? Me dun understand Haali;s render...

                  Thank you too... no worries .. I always like to have more option incase one dun work for me... which website to download vobsub ?

                    to set vmr in mpc, bring up the options, click output and select from there. to use haali renderer you must install matroska splitter, google it

                      Thanks...I have managed to do it under VMR 7.. really thanks!

                      btw can I store it in the dvd with the sub too ?
