Lame MP3 for Nero

I know this is a video forum, but I wondered if anyone could help me with the lame codec. I installed Lame ACM MP3 codec using instructions from a site, it didnt work or show up in nero encoder. So I thought, cdex uses lame mp3 codec, so I installed it and checked it used it and it does. But it still doesn't show up in nero encoder.

Could someone help me to install a lame mp3 codec so it works in nero encoder please?

I have nero 6.0.8.1. =)

Oh and I had the super mega nero wonderful plugin pack installed before and it messed nero up, wouldnt even start, something to do with .dll files. So I had to uninstall everything and re-install.

that could be the problem-- try updating

btw why would you want to use nero anyway? CDex is much better

I am reencoding a sound track my friend gave me as an mp3 that he made. It is to go with a movie I made for class. We had to make a short film.

I use that version of nero because lt. columbo on here has said it is the most stable he has used. But since I dont use nero for converting avi to dvd then I suppose an upgrade would be fine.

it is. i use it on both of my machines, but strictly for burning. not the same as you are doing

Are you talking about Nero Wave Editor?

I use that program almost daily and it works great for me.
I use the LAME MP3 PowerPack thing, you have to activate it, however, and it only works if you paid for Nero (demos or bootlegs won't work with it)
