    eXstream

Hope this is the right place for this question.

Anyways, I using eXstream MPEG to convert decrypted/.vob files (after using DVD decrypter). It works fine but it just comes out with no sound.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

    Welcome to the <a href="http://forum.digital-digest.com/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_new_faq_item" target="_blank">Digital Video Forums</a> djtwist2590!

To keep sound for the main movie, you have to keep the AC3 5.1-ch audio stream.

Sorry to post again but I'll just show you what someone else told me to do:

        1) I open up DVD Decrpyter with the DVD I'm using

        2) In DVD Decrpyter, I only select the main movie files and then decrypt them.

        3) When they are done decrypting, I open up eXstream and add the .vob files of the decrypted DVD

        4) Then I start the converting and everything turns out fine except the sound.

So what am I doing wrong?

I've never heard of or used the program called eXstream. I really can't help you with that program.

In DVD Decrypter though, you need to select "All Files", not "Main Movie Files".

Edit: Are you trying to make a .avi file from .vob files?

Try using Super© software. Just drag and drop the .vob files under the audio section, and then go up to the 1st box and change it to .avi . When you are ready, click the "Encode" button at the bottom of the screen.

              Get it here: http://www.digital-digest.com/software/super.html

Download eXstream MPEG, a software for converting MPEG1/2 video streams to AVI

I downloaded it from here and couldn't get sound to work either

For mpeg-4 ASP, you can use XviD codec and VirtualDub(Mod). However, for easy conversion from DVD to AVi (XviD, DviD,...). I would like to recommend to use FairUse Wizard and XviD codec (XviD.cvs.head.exe). You can download them from Celtic Druid's site below (Thanks Celtic Druid for these wonderful tools):

You have to change or tweak the XviD's settings for quality

For MP-4 AVC, you shouls use x264 and MeGUI (always thanks anonymez for bringing these wonderful tools to me):

                  Regards

presume you did a few adware/spyware checks since

Free tool but supported by displaying advertising
The above program is TOTALLY FREE - some limited adware in startup but no SPYWARE
