Hi soup, ffdshow is updated quite regularly (almost daily i think), actual updates people download depends on who compiles it, and when.

there are 2 builds, SSE1 & SSE2. check if your CPU supports SSE2 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSE2). if not, the SSE build.
