    Encoding WMVs

I was just wondering, what's the best program to encode a small WMV file?

I made a video a couple years ago that was like 4 minutes long, saved it in Ulead as a 11.1MB WMV. Now I remade it, and wanted to make it the same size but the best possible quality it could be.

Is Windows Media Encoder good or is there some program like "Easy RealMedia Tools" for Windows Media that produces better looking results?

Makes no real difference since the only current WMV3/VC-1 implimentation is from MS. So no matter what app you use, you are using the same encoder and therefor should get basically the same quality.

If quality is the main goal, then you might want to create an mp4 using x264 for video and Nero for audio.

I want to have WMV though, because I am trying to replace the video I have with a "version 2.0", and I want it to be the same size so it's not a notable difference except for what I changed.

I just found that other people can seem to encode WMVs better than I can... I wonder what they use.
