    ffdshow and DScaler Conflicting!

DScaler5 works great for my MPEG-2 files on its own.

But when I install ffdshow, I unchecked MPEG1 and MPEG2, anything of the sort. But yet ffdshow makes the video the 480x480 native resolution, when it should be 640x480. DScaler resizes, ffdshow doesn't. I can't get ffdshow to back off those files.

Anyone else have this happen? I don't wanna uninstall ffdshow just to open a MPEG2 file!

ffdshow shouldn't be decoding mpeg2 if it's disabled-- maybe you've enabled it's "raw video" setting? programs-->ffdshow-->decoder config-->codecs. go down the list make sure it's disabled

btw ffdshow can adjust aspect ratio or resize anyway, set it up

I checked raw video, I thought that meant uncompressed AVI?

          Dang.

          Does DShow do uncompressed AVI?

Another question, can I make ffdshow decode OGG files? I checked Vorbis but it did nothing.

if using mpc, it'll decode vorbis on it's own

              Well,

I like playing audio in Windows Media Player because of the cool visulasations. However, OGG files won't open in it, but other stuff that normally doesn't that ffdshow decodes will open.

I know there was an EXE somewhere that decoded OGGs for WMP... if only I could find it!
