Newbie here, Need help converting RMVB to DVD

I really don't know what to do so any help with be great. I'm trying to convert a RMVB to a dvd so I can watch it on my dvd player instead of the computer... But I don't know what program to used or anything like that, One person said first d/l virtualdubmod but when I open it it saids "This application has failed to start because corona .dll was not found. re-install this application may fix this problem" don't know what that means, I really don't want to pay for a program to convert it for me...

Do I just need only virtualdubmod or do I need other programs aswell, Do anyone have a webstie or something with step by step? Because I kind of need help on this ASAP if anyone has the time to help me out!

    Thanks for looking in...

i just did this last night. others will/may likely suggest other methods, but this worked great for me and was quicker than you can ash a cigar.

    1) install real alternative

    2) convert to dvd using SUPER

    3) Author with TMPGEnc dvd author (free 30 day trial)

ok, I did that, when downloading SUPER which one do I need to d/l and is SUPER FREE? beucasue it said $29 but I can try the trail..

          Which one Do I pick?

          Super Video Splitter
          Super Video Joiner
          Super Video to Audio Converter
RM to AVI MPEG WMV VCD SVCD DVD Converter
WMV to AVI MPEG WMV VCD SVCD DVD converter
          Easy DVD Extractor

and I think I can fit like 5 or 6 episodes on a dvd-r, So I'm guessing I don't need the first program I listed right? because I don't have to split the files because each file is like 233mb and like I said I can fit like 5 or 6 episodes on a single dvdr...

            get SUPER here
SUPER © is a free enhanced 3D video converter encoder player recorder. It has built in all the required video codecs and audio codecs to encode from and into any possible multimedia format in 2D or in 3D. Rendered output files for PC, iPhone, Xbox, Android, PS3..

how much you can fit depends on the bitrate you choose at the time of conversion. if you are over it's ok, we'll use dvd shrink. just use the bitrate it chooses for the first one and see how it turns out. i left mine at default and it was no different to me as far as quality.

let me know when super is installed and running. you in a PAL or NTSC zone?

SUPER shouldn't need real alt since mencoder can handle rmvb input directly.

right click somewhere on the interface, load the file and if you set it up like i got here it should be ok. when this is done, play the mpeg back, make sure it's ok then we are ready to author it.

I don't see a rmvb file when selecting output container or it doesn't matter? and go with mpeg(II) with the output container and output video codec?

Because all the files are in rmvb

Well I try it and it looks just like yours and it plays fine. ok I have a question, after I load the files up you know on the botton on the active area should I leave it blank in the little box near the files or should they have a check on them?

                    What's the nexts step?

you want output as mpeg-2, not rmvb. what is the point of converting, right?

yes leave the box checked. let me know when the mpeg-2 file it outputs plays and looks ok.

Will I never done this b4 so I had to ask

yep, they play fine and is it ok if I added like 10 rmvb files to it? because each file is only like 215mb or don't add so many files? because if I go over then it's no big deal right because I'll just compress it down to fix on a 4.7 dvdr right? What's the next step?

                          i understand

convert them all one at a time with super, we can add them to fill a dvd later - shrink if needed.

ok, So I hit the encode active job list file on the bottom right? if so I just did that and Super is doing it's thing but does it save it auto? or doesn't?... Ok, I just want to do one file and see if it plays on my dvd player... After Super finish doing it's thing what's the next step?
