    Newbie Question: Playing back subtitles

so, I'm not really one to use subtitles as I speak 5 languages... however, latin is not one of the languages I speak and this particular file I am trying to playback has alot of speaking in latin.

I have the divx movie in .avi format and the subs in .sub format, and I am using windows media player. Is there a special player I have to use in order for the subtitles to show up? do the file names have to the same (movie.avi and movie.sub) and/or if I change them, do I have to edit a text file for the subs to correctly be referenced?

    Thanks!

Install directvobsub (part of VSFilter) and the subs should work.
