Best codec for fraps gaming videos?

    Hello, its been a while.

I record some of my games using fraps, I usually game at 1280x1024 so fraps halfs it to 640x512 (it only supports up to 1152x864). Sometimes I put my gaming resolution down to 1024x768 and record at that resolution.

Fraps uses its own codec which is basically raw video and takes up many GB (about 300MB/min).

I need to encode the videos to a smaller size to store them and also encode them again even smaller to upload to websites/youtube,etc.

I have tried xvid/divx but it doesn't seem to like the high resolutions? Any ideas?

    Thanks

Try downloading Auto Gordian Knot and setting the target size to something reasonable.
