    quicktime 7.1.3 and MPEG-4

    Hello,
Basically my problem is like that - I have used an encoder I had to create a MPEG-4 encoded as a 3gp5 in order to be able to use it with quicktime, so far so well. The whole thing worked perfectly* until the new version of quicktime came out (version 7.1.3) and now every time I try to run any of the previously working movies, the quicktime responds with '2010:the movie contains some invalid data', does anyone has any idea as to why could this happen?

    * In fact, the same message appeared also when the Quicktime 7.0.3 came out and it was a problem with the DecSpecificInfo and replacing it solved that problem.

    Contact Apple?

    Hi,

It might not be a quick fix for you, but if Apple breaks your content, you might want to contact them either by using the form:

Or by logging bug report (free registration required) at:

Generally posting a link to a sample media showcasing the issue helps.

    Best,

    Guillaume

@slmosl - can you please tell me what you use to create the 3gp5 encoded video? I have been googling for a while now and keep coming up empty.

      Kind regards,
