Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I am a total newbie when it comes to editing video files.
I am trying to make a regular DVD out of a few mini DVD+RW discs from a digital camcorder. These are family movies of a friend's, and I want to make one DVD from all the miscellaneous video files thus far. I have the files from the mini DVDs saved to my hard drive, but I am boggled by all of the various file formats and what to do with them. I have tried pulling up the .VOB and other various files in DVD software in order to at least fit a few mini DVDs onto one regular DVD, but I'm having no luck. Plus, I would also like to remove some of the chapters from the original mini DVDs and edit the final menu for the regular DVD. (One of the chapters is just someone playing with the new video camera, so we don't really want that on the final compilation disc.)
So, I need help with the following steps:
Saving/burning multiple files from mini DVD+RW discs onto a regular DVD
and
Removing a chapter
and
Editing menus
I've tried many attempts to Google specific phrases to try to come up with an answer on my own, but I keep arriving at the wrong information.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. I would also appreciate any tips on a good reference for figuring out all these different file types on the mini DVD discs and what they are for. I never know which ones have what information.
