    there's picture, but no sound!! help me please

    i am having a problem with a vdo file. it's .DAT file, i tried to open it in Windows Media Player 11, there is picture but no sound...?? i'm very confused with this. i also have installed Gspot and all of it tells me is

    Video Src Type : MPEG1Payload
    Audio Src Type : MPEG1AudioPayload
    Video Path : (S) --> Elecard MPEG Demultiplexer --> MPEG Video Decoder --> (R)
    Audio Path : S) --> Elecard MPEG Demultiplexer --> Elecard Audio Decoder --> (R)

    please help me, i wanna hear this video

    will it work if you rename the extension to .mpg?

    play it VLC player.

      well, i have tried to rename it but it won't let me change and also i have tried to open it in VLC it's still the same as i can see picture but no sound. help me please...

        if you have it open with another program it wont let you change the name

          yeah if it's not what night said, don't know why you can't change it. you sure there is audio present on this file to start with?
