Strange Audio Sync Issues

Hey all, recently got some eureka divx files and have a starnge problem ive had on some other files as well. The video starts off ok and then slowly seems to lose sync with the audio only gradually. Now when i stop the video or rewind a little the audio syncs back up and then starts going out of sync again, now i tried converting the files with nero and burnt a dvd only to get the same result with the move slowly going out of sync. Anyone got any ideas? most the threads ive read on out of sync issues deal with all the audio and not a gradual degredation that fixes it self when the file is stopped?

Do you mean to say that if u stop at a particular point and restart FROM THAT POINT ,there is no sync problem initially?

Yeah, thats the deal eg ill be watching the episodes in bed the nafter 15 mins i get up and have to stop it and start it again in the same position and the sync fixes itself, personally i thought it was my computer cuaseing the trouble but same at computers at work. I mean its ok doing this but i want to burn them onto dvd and the problem become apparent there big time cuase stoping and playing doesnt do squat.
