    Adjust Brightness/Contrast Settings in VLC/QT Alternative?

    Is there a way to adjust Brightness/Contrast Settings in VLC player or QT Alternative? Something like the way you can adjust them with Windows media player.

    I am sure there must be a way, but I guess I am overlooking it!

    Thanks, katz

    In VLC, Preferences-->Video-->Filters-->Image Adjust.

    QT Alternative?
    I guess you mean MPC, which is bundled with some versions of QT Alternative. For DVDs you can adjust brightness/contrast/saturation etc via Options-->Internal Filters-->Mpeg-2 Video. For everything else, download & install a recent build of ffdshow, start the Video Decoder Config and see the settings under Picture Properties

      Most video drivers also let you adjust the picture in overlay mode too.
