Problem when play XviD ISO MPEG-4

Most of the time I use players with built-in decoders like GOM or KM but in order to fix some subtitles I need to use the preview of subtitle workshop that use the decoder installed in my system (Xvid 1.1.2). Now I realize that there is a problem to play well some files encoded with an old version of Xvid in subtitle workshop (these files play fine with GOM) so I would like to know if this is a bug in Xvid 1.x decoder or if these files were encoded with a buggy xvid. I know that probably install ffdshow will be fix this but since I almost will never use it but only in subtitle workshop I want to keep this option as the last choice.
According to Gspot all these files were encoded with "XviD ISO MPEG-4" and have in common that contain "0 maximum consecutive B-Frames".

Video Sample (XviD ISO MPEG-4, 8.1MB)
    Code:

Thanks in advance for any help.

What exactly happens when you play the file in Subtitle Workshop?

In Subtitle Workshop preview or any other player that use the xvid decoder (insted some embeded mpeg4 dec) the movie jump by scenes (or keyframes, I'm not sure). The movie display a weird number in "average and maximun keyframe (I-Frame) distance, see:

So since it jump by scenes you can realize that it's imposible to sync subtitles in Subtitle Workshop, anyway I'm almost 100% sure that the problem is in the movie.

        Just downloaded the file,

if these files were encoded with a buggy xvid
        Yes; likely an early release.
