AVI file not playing

I exported a AVI file in Xvid, so friend could see it. He did not have the Divx or Xvid codec so the sound played but not the images. So we got both the Divx and Xvid codecs and he has Windows media player but we still have the same problem. We're trying to view a file embedded on the internet.

Try to play the file with VLC or Media Player Classic.

thats one option, or you can google a free codec that will imbed itself with your current player, that way you don't have several players on your computer. Plenty to choose from out there.
